This pony was made as a private commission for Aquariousmoon. The pony is of her persona, but in a corset ;) The poy was made from a G3 My Little Pony named Misty Blue that was rerooted with Katsilk hair in Sapphire Blue and Platinum White. The eyes and symbol are painted in acrylics and sealed. The symbol on the rear looks a little wacky in this pic due to the curvature of the rear of the pony. The corset, boots and anklet were sculpted with Apoxie Sculpt, painted in acrylics and sealed.

you make this with clay D: wow
so cool...
can i ask you something...
how do you remove the original signs on ther...behind...
I tryed to remodel a mylittel pony when i was younger but my
acryl just kinda acted like...fuck you... when i tryed painting over the
the logo of the pony...
(btw this was a diffrent version then this one it was a newer...
those skinny ones with long legs...)

ANyway i also have a lot o mylittle ponys still upstairs (even has the my little pony town with pool)
i wanna keep them for ma kids someday...but all theyr hair is like
dirty and even have rusty colors from me playing with them in theyr
town pool XD
So i am also currious how you replace the hairs...
Especially those of the tail..
SO i can fix my old ponys who i loved so much..
(if i lived closer to you i would seriously bring all of them too you XD
even if it would cost a lot)

The best way I've found to remove symbols is with Laquer Thinner (paint thinner) which is specifically made to remove paint from stuff :) Acetone will also work but may cause plastic damage so be careful and of course, be sure wash the area REALLY WELL with soap and water afterwards to remove any chemical residue.

I have a tutorial on how to reroot manes and tails on my website here: [link] Just go to the Tutorials section :)

Often times, with just plain old shampoo, conditioner, water and some work you can get 80's pony hair to look really good even if it's all tangled and nasty from play (trust me, I know! I often fix up old ponies I find at flea markets and garage sales). I assume that since you played with them in water that they have some rust coming out of the tail hole into the tail hair? This is a very common problem and can be fixed by removing the head carefully, then pulling out the tail from the inside. You'll need to remove the tail washers that are made of metal and holding the tail in place, then wash the hair thouroughly to get the rust out. I've used an old toothbrush with some whitening toothpaste with good results for that.

If you want you can email me some pics of the old ponies you have and I can try to give you some advice on what to do to fix them up, or ID them for you if you don't remember their names and such.

Well,
I am now customizin 1 and repainting 2...
i had some special plastic paint stuff.
I dunno if you ever repainted ponys but i dunno what to
put over the paint to get it shinny again.
I washed (tryed) the ponys and well...
my favorit who used to be pink/purple...became peachypurlish...grey
and i repainted her...looks good untill now.
And i had 2 white ones who where yellow.
I am making one black and the other im giving a thin coat of white...

And they all need new hair...theyr hair became...like yeah...
afro-ish XD from to much brushing...
I also discovered i have 2 pretty rare ones..
A white one who i am painting black because shes almost black...XD
And a unicorn one who belonged to a castel that
my father got me second hand (its a pony rom the 60's !!!)
And he's like uberly rare...and amazing...he's still white!

Anyway the only question i really have is... what do you use to seal the acryl

:iconwoosie:
I use J.W. Etc. water-based polyurethane sealant. It comes in both matte or glossy. I use the matte for sealing symbols and sculpted parts and the glossy for the eyes to give them a wet look. I thin down the matte sealant a little with water before applying to reduce the streaking :) I hope that helps some!
