Jukebox Julie custom pony by Woosie Jukebox Julie custom pony by Woosie
This is a custom My Little Pony named Jukebox Julie. I started her back in 2007, but after rerooting her and sculpting and painting her little socks and saddle shoes I decided that I was really unhappy with her neck seam as it was wider than I'd like. Well, I dug her out of the bottom of the bait box recently, hair all tangled up and looking kind of sad and decided to finish her up anyway. It's not her fault she has a bad neck seam after all.

She was created from a G3 my little pony that I don't recall the name of. I rerooted her mane and tail with Katsilk saran hair in hot pink and teal stripes. The socks, saddle shoes, corset and poodle skirt are sculpted from Apoxie Clay, painted with acrylics and sealed. I also repaint her eyes as well. She is for sale on ebay under the name Messiah6 and will end August 2nd, 2009.

I usually use the natural color of the pony body, full body repaints are such a pain to do >_<

I love this! How did you do the lacing? Just more clay, I assume? I tried my first Apoxie wings today, using what you said on your American Kestrel entry...I'm awful right now, but I can definitely understand the concept! Now just for months of practice... xD

Oh yeah, and the Aves Studio that I so conveniently live near? It's primarily a taxidermy studio. They tried to sell me a stuffed marten I was admiring while I waited for them to ring up my order. :P

Yep :) That is how I originally learned about Apoxie Clay and Apoxie Sculpt is through taxidermy and ordering it through taxidermy supply catalogs. I used to work at a taxidermy shop and do taxidermy myself as a hobby. Unfortunately pretty much lost my personal little taxidermy shop in hurricane Ike.
