Hehehe...I still have to giggle when I look at this custom. This custom My Little Pony is, of course, made in the image of the infamous 1980's cartoon villain Skeletor, from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. My boyfriend bought a He-Man DVD the other day and after watching a few episodes I just couldn't help but make hime, lol.
Skeletor was made from a G3 My Little Pony toy named Waterfire. I removed the original hair and replaced the tail with a leftover tail from another pony that happened to match his color scheme perfectly. The original pony's rump symbol was removed with laquer thinner. His skull, outfit, boots and staff were all then hand sculpted from Apoxie Clay, painted with acrylics and sealed for protection. The staff was sculpted over a wire frame for stability. He is on auction on eBay here (ends 4-15-07): [link]
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!

One might think waging a four-way double-elimination duel to the death with yourself might drive you insane. But really? It makes you super sane.
