Precious Pearl pegasus pony by Woosie Precious Pearl pegasus pony by Woosie
This pegasus was made from a Toys R Us birthstone pony who had it's jewel symbol removed and replaced with an Apoxie Clay 3-D sculpted oyster with a real cultured pearl set in it. She was rehaired with katsilk hair in Sapphire blue. The wings are Apoxie Clay over wire. The wings, symbol and eyes were painted in acrylics and sealed. The tiara is made from white seed beads, cultured pearls and beading wire.

This is awesome.
What type of clay did you used?
Is it the type that requires baking?
Can we put the Pony in the oven?

I've been using Sculpey on Munny a few time and it survives the oven perfectly and I was wondering if the Pony uses the same type of vinyl.

It is Apoxie Clay from [link] No baking required so no oven worries. People do routinely use Sculpey on MLP though and put them in the oven, I mayself have not done so.

Wow, I really respect the work that went into this. Thank for that information in your comments. Also, she is indeed beautiful. I had no idea such things could be done with these toys.

The wings must have taken real patience but they are truly impressive.

How to you get those gemstones out? I had a G3 Twlight Twlinkle and completly wrecked her trying to take her gemstone out. See my "drej pony". That's what became of her.

hehe, that's why there is a great big 3-D symbol on her ;) I just pop the jewel off with a scalpel then shave down the rest of the plastic that holds it in. Then I drilled a hole in the middle so the Apoxie Sculpt would have a way to be secured into the body and sculpted the symbol on.
