Being that I live in South East Texas I'm totally obsessed with the idea of winter and snow. I've never seen REAL snow in my life that I'm able to remember (though I have seen a video of me playing in snow that's about 1" deep back when I was like 4...I don't remember it though, lol). One of these days I'm going to fly my butt up to Colorado or somewhere snowy during the winter and see some REAL snow! Anyway, because of this I adore art with snowy landscapes and wintry scenes. This little pony was made from a G3 My Little Pony named Toola Roola that I rerooted with Katsilk hair in Platinum White and Sky Blue. This is an older pony of mine so the eyes were not repainted. I painted a couple of snowflakes on the front display hoof (that I don't care for now that I look at the pony after so long) and I sculpted a snowy river/mountain scene on the rear. It was then painted in acrylics and sealed. If I was able to redo this pony I think I'd leave off the foot symbol and repaint the eyes an icey blue color. Other than that I'm quite pleased with the result.
Unless you like cold weather you aren't missing anything with the snow deal. its miserable and I know what you mean. I visit Texas frequently and live in Alabama, I hadnt seen snow until 2011 it got pretty deep lasted a week of going NOWHERE and everything being shut down. I was a mess by the end of that week, i'm sure towns that are prepared and used to snow might be some better but i'll take my warm weather and stuff over a snowy day.
As a Canadian, living in a province where its winter about 8 months of the year, I can say this:
You are missing alot. Snow is wonderful. Sledding, skiing, Hockey, Skating outside, Winter fires, Ah, Its nice. The cold is harsh though. We sometime have to send out ambulances around the city to pick up the homeless to prevent them from freezing to death. The coldest I remember in recent memory was -38C (Thats -36.7 Fahrenheit for you americans.)
Im so sorry you haven't seen snow.
That Pony is amazing. Im surprised managed to cram so much into such a tiny amount of area.
i still cant see the appeal of snow... then again we can get like... alot of snow and not even have a delay... it freakin sucks man...i were in snow practically up to our shoulders going to the bus stop ( SLIGHT exaggeration) but no! huff.. ok rant over get back to your lives. i like the scene anyway though...
