Sonoran Sunset the pegasus

This is a customized My Little Pony toy that I did as a private commission for Teasle. She requested a pony based on the colors of a sunset and sent some photos of various sunsets that were full of pinks, purples and oranges. I chose to go with a bit of a desert theme with those colors. The base was a G3 My Little Pony toy with a purple body. I removed the original hair and rerooted the mane and tail in blended stripes of white, yellow, orange, pink, lavender and purple. The hair is Saran hair from www.restoredoll.com. The wings were hand sculpted from Apoxie Clay from www.avesstudio.com. The eyes, wings and symbol were painted with acrylics and sealed for protection. The little tiara is made from beading wire, teeny white seed beads and Swarovski crystals in clear, pink, lavender and yellow shades.
